Third generation Harlemite, in exile since 1998, a place to post notes on my homeland, NYC. In the 80's I was fighting crack & aids, the 90's teaching folks how to compute. Harlem is a state of soul, even though the poverty pimps are still running it as a plantation. I am confident the people are overcoming.

Did the EPA test the Harlem environment post 9/11?
The answer to the question is hell no! The readings on the EPA referred WTC Environmental Contamination report has Harlem testing results from 1989 as most recent.
I was visiting the EPA's site today, their WTC contamination page, as part of my update on how medical marijuana can help with World Trade Center Illness for this year's Los Angeles Global Marijuana March presentation.
I've been saying over the years that it seems nobody who can do anything is testing the air, land and water in Harlem with regard to the World Trade Center dust. I've bitched about how I've failed to get even one politician to even look at the possibility that the people in Harlem are in danger of dying from chronic exposure to World Trade Center dust, just like the first responders who got their large dose of toxins early. By accident, I may have stumbled on proof of that theory, based on my decades as an environmental activist and my experience with the City of New York regarding making the issue affecting Harlem any type of a priority in governing.
